Paul
First appearance Static Fish
#14 (Pratt Institute's Student Comic Book)
The love of his life has exited in a whirlwind
of "I never loved you" spoken at the worst possible
moment. Sure, maybe at first it felt like perpetually being hit
in the gut accompanied by that lay down in the street and give
up nausea. But you just move on right? Paul is fine. Really. Go
ahead and ask him. "I'm fine," he'll respond.
Despite the best effort of those around him, nothing seems to
snap him out of his gallant feats of avoidance.
But when his childhood imaginary friend, Edward, returns, Paul
can no longer ignore reality.

Jason Brightman
First appearance Nebraska, 1973
Jason was born in an itsy bitsy town before
moving to progressively larger and larger towns all in states beginning
with the letters M or N until finally settling
in New York City in 1992 where he attended Pratt Institute.
Jason wasnt at Pratt for more than three weeks before resurrecting
their long dormant student comic publication Static Fish
which he guided till his graduation in 1996 (BFA in Graphic Design).
After graduation Jason briefly gave up the silly dreams of comics
for more lucrative pursuits like designing Stephen King movie posters
and kids toy packaging. He currently is the Online Art Director
of Harris Publications where he creates and maintains such popular
sites as Guitar
World Magazine, Vampirella,
and KING Magazine.
Having secured enough money to pay rent and student loans Jason
turned his attention back to his love of comics and began self-publishing
Frayed Ends.
