FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW YORK, NY Alebrije Press, a NYC-based illustration and design studio, today announced the release of its second comic work, Frayed Ends issue 2. This semi-autobiographical tale continues the story written and illustrated by award-winning designer Jason Brightman. Bad things happen to everyone, says Brightman, Everyone has lost someone. It's how people deal that, that makes interesting stories. Some of us merely cope, others exceed, and some, create distractions. Frayed Ends #2 continues Paul's attempts to come to terms with his loss amidst free floating media, right to carry concealed stick protesters, a mayor, a reverend, and an imaginary friend with a missing heart. This is very much a tale of reality, asserts Brightman, despite what the floating televisions and imaginary friends would have you believe. This is not a pedestrian slice of life story because let's face it, not everyone is happy with their slice. Alcohol, drugs, work or politics, nearly anything can serve as a distraction to those committed to avoidance. And Paul is exactly that kind of person and this is exactly that kind of story. Frayed Ends #2 will be released in June 2002; 24 pages with a four-color card stock cover with black and white interiors. For more information, please visit our Web site at www.frayedends.com.
